Leave and Vacation Policy

Purpose

Define clear expectations for team members to ensure consistent operations across the distributed accounting team.

Policy Rules

  • Leave must be requested and approved in advance via email.
  • Minimum notice:
    • 1 day leave → 5 days notice
    • multiple days → 5 weeks notice
  • Leave during critical accounting deadlines requires special approval. If leave is requested during designated high-priority accounting periods, the employee must submit a detailed work continuity plan in advance outlining the tasks to be completed before the leave, the tasks that will remain pending, the tasks to be completed after returning, and how all deadlines, client commitments, and responsibilities will be met. Leave approval during such periods will be reviewed together with this plan and will only be granted if it demonstrates that operational continuity and client obligations will not be negatively impacted.

All team members must understand and follow this policy as part of their professional responsibilities.

Management is responsible for ensuring the policy is documented and accessible.

Failure to follow this policy may impact performance evaluation and overall role expectations within the company.
