Daily Work Reporting Policy
Purpose
Define clear expectations for team members to ensure consistent operations across the distributed accounting team and to maintain accurate records of all work performed for client services.
Policy Rules
- All work must be performed under a Jira ticket. No work should be done outside the Jira task system.
- All time must be tracked in Clockify.
- Each Clockify entry must correspond to a Jira ticket.
- Team members must log their full contracted working hours for the day in Clockify (for example, 8 hours for full-time employees or the agreed daily hours for part-time employees).
- Work must be logged on the same day it is performed.
- If a Jira ticket does not exist for a task, the team member must create one before starting the work.
- At the end of each workday, team members must ensure that all work performed during the day is fully recorded in Clockify and that the corresponding Jira tickets are properly updated.
Responsibilities
All team members must understand and follow this policy as part of their professional responsibilities.
Team members are responsible for ensuring that:
- every activity performed is associated with a Jira ticket
- all work time is properly recorded in Clockify
- their daily work time totals 8 hours.
Management is responsible for ensuring the policy is documented, accessible, and consistently followed across the team.
Compliance
Failure to follow this policy may result in incomplete operational records and reduced transparency in team operations.
Repeated failure to comply with this policy may impact performance evaluation and overall role expectations within the company.
